Caroline is an Emmy-nominated television correspondent and news producer living in New York City. For the last decade, CMT has traveled around the world as a journalist covering the gamut of subjects, from politics to entertainment, and working across a variety of mediums including live television, documentary, podcast, and print. During her career, she has interviewed Gloria Steinem, Sheryl Sandberg, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, and R Kelly, among thousands of others.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, she anchored NBC News 'Global Hangout,' a daily interview show that coupled her trademark hard-hitting interview style and sensitive reporting, featuring real people sharing their stories from the frontlines. Her myth-busting series 'Ask the Experts' routinely featured expert epidemiologists and global vaccinologists. CMT also helmed a weekly news magazine show on NBC News Now that showcased reporting on U.S. and international politics, racial and social justice, climate change, and more.
At the start of the Biden administration, CMT hosted, co-wrote and produced a podcast about presidential transitions for The Atlantic magazine's creative studio, exploring the contours of American democracy, and the fallout from the Trump to Biden handover.
Previously, she fronted Verizon Media's flagship interview series Between You & Me on Apple TV and Roku. Guests of the long-form talkshow included Jason Rezaian, Leah Daughtry, and Jordan Klepper, among others. CMT also produced short documentaries for HuffPost/Verizon.
CMT was one of the original correspondents for HBO's Emmy Award-winning nightly news show, VICE News Tonight. From the field and in-studio, she covered, produced and broke news across a dynamic mix of subjects, including U.S. politics, international news, health care, business, technology, and culture. Previously, she was an on-air host and producer for HuffPost Live, the award-winning digital television network for HuffPost.
Off-screen, CMT was a columnist for the Financial Times, and has contributed to VICE, HuffPost, NBC News, Vanity Fair, The Daily Telegraph, Prospect Magazine, The Independent, i-D Magazine, and The Mail On Sunday.
Caroline has a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University’s School of Journalism, and graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English.
Caroline has hosted live special events for TBS/TNT, and has moderated panel discussions with newsmakers, politicians and celebrities for organizations including Brookings, New America, Women in the World, World50, The Wing, Dreamwakers, and Omnicom. CMT also appears on national and international news programs (TV, radio, podcasts) providing political commentary and analysis.
